I watched the show You Can't Do That On Television since I was little. I can sing the theme song but my family is tired of hearing it because I sung it too many times. I loved the show and it's funny and my sister said that it's stupid and I told her that it's not all stupid. She said it is stupid. Nobody told that Alanis Morrisette was on the show until there was an episode were she got slimed for saying I don't know and Alasdair Gillis said. Alanis you're not suppose to say I don't know on the show or you'll get slimed and he got slimed too. My mom said everybody has different taste when I told her that my sister Sidra said that the show is stupid. I wished that they show it again sometime so I can laugh at it. People say water they get water dumped on them and when people say I don't know they slimed.

I loved YCDTOTV since I was little. When I was a child in 1993 and 1994 I watched every Sunday when I can home from the grocery store one time I was at my neighbor's house my dad called me to watch YCDTOTV. I loved the show because it's funny I wish they show it again so I can laugh. I was born 1984. On the show I remember there was Alasdair Gillis, Christine McGlade, and some other kids and a Lady. I didn't realized that Les Lye played Ross, Barth, the teacher and the other male characters on the show.

I loved on the episode about "Fame" in 1983 in which Christine tickled the bottom of one of Lisa's feet! I also loved the episode about being "Sick" (also from 1983) in which Christine's foot, while her leg in a cast, was tickled by a feather duster. Chirstine and Lisa are absolutely beautiful!

I've been talking & thinking about that show for a long time & I'd really like to see each video of them they should be sold in stores. I liked the 1989 series.Chris Bickford was cool

I liked the episodes in the mid-eighties. Especially the "clubs" and "ambition" episodes with Ben Schriener. Love the black and white shorts! Especially the shot when he's being interviewed by Lisa!

I think that this was one of the best kids show of the 80's. Some one should make a reunion show.

I had to watch this show every single day on Nickelodeon...without fail! I loved it so much, that if I missed a single episode, it totally ruined my day. I was one of many girls I knew who fell madly in love with Allisdair Gillis. I mean, "Sometimes its so easy, I'm ashamed of myself."

Christine McGlade was my third crush ( I must of been 6 or 7) . I don't remember Alanis from it but I love Jagged Little Pill. Definately a influnce on my sense of humor to this day.

i'm 12 and i still remember watching ycdtotv in the early 90s on nickelodeon before it was off the air. the last time i saw it was like in june of last year and they played it twice and i was in HEAVEN!! i still love it and i wish somewhere they could put it on the air, and if they did they'd put it on like some unknown channel that noone really gets...dissapointing! Hello. I'm from the USA and used to watch You Can't Do That On Television religiously. I've been thinking about it lately now that I've grown up and can really appreciate it for all the laughs it gave me. The locker jokes were always funny. And I think it was called "Barf's" That restaurant where it burgers were nasty and he got out a bucket and they all puked. I miss that show so much!

You Can't Do That on Television rules! I was 9 and a half when i started watching back in 1983. I remember so many episodes like the Romance one, the Addictions one, the one with the green and red boxes on the screen to vote for certain things, man, there are so many I loved. In fact, I loved them all. I got hooked on to it as soon as I saw the first show. I wish, hope, and pray it can be put back on the air (maybe on Snick?) or on video so today's generation of kids can see and enjoy it as much as my generation did. PLEASE, bring back YCDTOTV!

I really enjoyed You Can't Do That On Television. I would watch it almost every afternoon when I would get home from school in the early to mid 80's. YCDTOTV was definitely the show of the 80's for kids like me. It was fun, gross, and made fun of adults and others. Canadaian tv really brought Nickelodeon into a league of its own and it really needs to bring back some of those classics. IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS THE NAME OF A CANADIAN SHOW ON NICKELODEON IN THE 80'S/EARLY 90'S ABOUT A MANIQUIN THAT CAME TO LIFE, MAIL ME!!!

i'm a college junior who loved watching "ycdtot" as a child. the show had a big impact om my life , while watching it i first realized that i was a lesbian. i had a mad crush on christine mcglade , i just couldn't get her out of my mind. i got very hot watching once when a skit had her & lisa ruddy in bed together. christine was pretending to be a dog & lickng lisa. lucky lisa !!!!! i always loved it when she'd be on real "fem" in a skirt & pantyhose and barefoot. i even went as her that way to a halloween party at our dorm . going barefoot i ruined a pair of pantyhose but wound up meeting my current lover whose name is believe it or , vannesa. at a gay site i saw alanis morrissette who was also on the show is bi. any think she & christine ever fooled around ?

I liked all the YCDTOT shows, but I must say the episodes with Matthew Godfrey on were the BEST! I LOVED Matthew Godfrey & I still think he was adorable! I just wish I could see what he looks like today & what he is up to.

My best friend and I were so obsessed with YCDTOTV that we made our own version of it in junior high. Unbeknownst to me, she sent the tape to the producers who unceremoniously offered to pay us Canadian dollars to write an epsiode for them. You can look it up in the episode guide, 1986, titled "contests." We even flew to Ottawa to see the show taped and met the entire cast including lisa ruddy who happened to be visiting the set that day. Standing in those lockers was like a dream come true.

Great page, I was a fan of the show and watched it all the time, I was even smart enough to record some episodes at the time, 40-50 of them, I guess it's time to dig them out and start watching. :)
